*THIS CURRICULUM WILL TEACH PARENTS EXACTLY WHAT THEIR CHILD IS SUPPOSED TO BE LEARNING; HOW THEIR CHILD IS BEING TAUGHT,; HOW TO HELP WITH HOMEWORK ON A TIME MANAGEMENT BASIS; HOW EACH SEGMENT OF A CHILD’S EDUCATION INVOLVES THE CHILD, THE TEACHER, THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION, THE COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE PARENTS.
* USE THE CAPABILITIES OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM PSYCHOLOGISTS
AND SOCIAL WORKERS TO RE-TEACH PARENTS HOW TO BE INVOLVED WITH THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL LEVELS.
* APPOINT A LOCAL PANEL OF EXPERTS AND RESIDENTS TO ACT AS A “PTA”, “BOARD OF DIRECTORS”, “STEERING COMMITTEE”,………
* SET UP A REACTION TEAM TO HELP WITH ENFORCING COMPLIANCE.
* RECRUIT LOCAL “MENTORS” FOR FAMILIES WHO NEED EXTRA HELP.
* SET UP A LIAISON COMMITTEE TO WORK WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, SO THE RIGHT HAND KNOWS WHAT THE LEFT HAND IS DOING.
* RESIST THE TEMPTATION OF ACCEPTING “CORPORATE” GIFTS, OR DONATIONS.
* MAKE IT KNOWN THAT THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM.
