It’s a miracle. I just found out why I’m so fat!

Figured out why I'm so fat! The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my body says "for extra volume and body". Going to start using Dawn dish washing soap. It says "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove....

You gotta be in it to win it.

A no fly zone? How about a “no way” zone?

The U.S. would be totally insane to offer the Libyan opposition a No Fly Zone. In order to accomplish that task, you are basically declaring War on Libya.
It matters not what anyone thinks of Libya’s current head of state. This is a sovereign Nation in the midst of a Civil War, and the United States has absolutely no business meddling in their internal affairs. If you think otherwise, just put the shoe on the other foot. How loud would the screaming be from this Country if someone tried to force their will on us? We can’t be the global policeman anymore, for a obvious reasons. If the Libyan opposition forces want aide and comfort, let them get it from their Arab brothers, from Europe, from the African Alliance; not from us.

Politicians are all on Welfare!

The Wisconsin 14 have the right idea. They needed to send a message, and they succeeded very nicely. The trouble is that the message was heard loudly and clearly after day three. Now, three weeks out, they have only succeeded in creating an epic failure for themselves, and perhaps the entire Democratic Party. This type behavior is one you might expect from a three-year old child. (I meant to say Republican.)
Were you, or I, AWOL from work this long, there would be no “work” to come back to. In the real world, these folks would have been fired for dereliction of duty, and would have had a hard time qualifying for Unemployment Insurance. These children seem to be “untouchable”. They will return, and be given a warm and fuzzy welcome back by their peers, as if nothing out of the ordinary ever happened. And, why not? They’re all on Welfare! That’s right, Welfare. It is the Taxpayers who fund each and every Social Assistance Program in this Country. It is the Taxpayer who funds our Nation’s Armed Services. It is the Taxpayer who pays the costs of our Police, Firefighters, Sanitation Workers, et al. And, yes, it is the Taxpayer who pays the salaries of our elected officials. I was taught that if A = B, B = C, C = D, then, logically, A= D. So, a rational, mathematically minded person might come to the conclusion that ALL the elected officials in this Country are on WELFARE, PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, THE DOLE, THE DOWN LOW, etc.
I’m starting to believe that we ARE all that dumb. We allow these people to run roughshod over us time, and time, again, and we keep coming back for for more every two years. Isn’t it about time to demand better from our
employees? We are not getting much bang for our buck. Time has come to stand up to these most egregious of Welfare Cheats, Democrat or Republican. They have the potential to do good things; no one demands it of them. We need to start! Get involved. E-mail your elected officials. Tell them how you feel. Let them know you are not the bumbling idiots they think you are. Make them work for their allowance as you might your children.
The Federal Government has never been mandated to protect its citizenry from themselves. The only Charter to defend and protect has to do with protecting the citizenry from external threats and enemies.
In the attempt to streamline the wretched excess of Washington, D.C., roughly 2/3rds of all Agencies should become redundant. The CBO even admits openly that the Department of Education is so rife with waste that it could be at least cut in half. I would propose to cut the very same Department by at least 75%, because of the redundancy with the States. If this is true about the Department of Education, then think of the possibilities in all the other Departments and Agencies.
Why does it make any sense to send our tax dollars to Washington, D.C.? They are acting as a “middle man” that we don’t need. All fifty States are more than capable of executing all the programs and benefits we currently receive from the Federal Government.
The United States of America can be adequately run using seven Departments and three Branches:
1] The Executive Branch                 1] The Department of the the Interior
2] The Legislative Branch               2] The Department of the Treasury
3] The Judicial Branch                    3] The Department of Defense
                                                         4] The Department of State
                                                         5] The Department of Energy
                                                         6] The Department of Education
                                                         7] The Department of Audit
Certain Reforms must take place to make this scenario work properly. The first major reform will involve the Business and Financial Sectors. Secondly, reform and decentralization of the Department of Education will have to occur. The largest undertaking will be the restructuring of the Department of the Interior, which will absorb many existing Agencies. The Department of the Treasury will handle all things Financial. The Department of the Interior will take care of all things Business related, Land related, etc. The Department of Defense will guard our borders and protect the Country from outside aggression. The Department of Energy is self-explanatory, and will necessarily utilize parts of the Department of the Interior. The Department of Education will set a National base curriculum standard, and have enforcement powers in that area. The Department of State will be tasked with Diplomacy and Treaties and Alliances, with the exclusion of Economic Agreements. It will also be in charge of weeding out the useless, outdated, and injurious diplomatic treaties (Interior takes care of the Economic deals.) Finally, the Department of Audit will be responsible for constant audits of all Government Departments, S
Agencies and Branches. Collectively, the three Branches will be pared down to efficient, rational size. The U.S. Constitution will reign supreme over any questions, disputes, clarifications, etc., after useless, outdated Amendments are stripped out. This is all a proposal aimed at giving the States their rightful autonomy and responsibility. The Federal Government is present to direct and oversee National Policy, only.
